     Over the past 2 years we have modernized over 40 properties and if you are considering buying a property in the area then you should consider a resale property that may need some modernization.  Often these properties are cheaper,larger and have a better location than new property. Take a look at resale property in order to compare what you can buy with your money against the new builds.

 

     Building standards have improved enormously in recent years due to tighter buiding regulations and a new inspection regime brought in by the Government in 1999. Due to these improvements there is often a big difference in resale properties say, over three years old and newer apartments or villas especially in the number and type of facilities that the new developments are offering. If you are not particulariy interested in the new and extra facilities such as an internet cafe and a mini club for the kiddies, the cost of which will be passed on to you in an increased maintenance fee payable every month, then a resale property may be ideal for you.

 

    There are many advantages in buying an older property;

 1. It is often cheaper than a comparable new build.


  2. It often has a better position being closer to the sea where nowadays the land would be too expensive to build on,

  3. It may have better views being situated in a better position  
  4. İt will possibly have more land and an established garden around the property compared to new builds.

 

  5. You will often feel that you are living in a property in Turkey rather than in the middle of a holiday complex.

 

  6. An older property is often more likely to be bigger in floor area than the new builds which have been limited in their m2 by the new restricting rules about building limitations.

 

 

   

    Although labour and materials are far cheaper than in other European countries the cost of modernization can add up.
